Unknown to many, a strong general education in the arts is important because it helps children develop the skills necessary to succeed in life.
Among the many benefits of arts education are self-learning, improve school attendance and better creative abilities. Arts programs play an important role in shaping students’ self-image and increase their skills in mathematics, science, geography and language. The early exposure to art, music or visual theater is known to promote brain activity. It encourages learning and helps people understand others easily. Art activities help children to understand the human experience. They are taught to respect the work of other ways and reflection, helps to develop creative problem solving, and enables them to communicate their thoughts and ideas in many ways. Unfortunately, hard times have hit the way we see art. Often, art programs are the first to be sacrificed for the implementation of measures to reduce costs.
